Soho Gyms are an independent chain of gyms spread across London and now Manchester.
Since the first gym opened in Macklin Street, Covent Garden, other gyms have been opened or bought in Earls Court, Camden, Clapham, Waterloo, Borough Lewisham, Farringdon and most recently Manchester
Some gyms in London are designed with massive cardio areas with the rest of the gym tucked into whatever space. Soho Gyms are clean, bright and have a good balance of machines, free weights and cardio equipment so whether you want a pure cardio workout, machine based or entirely free weights, you will be able to do your workout. More importantly, men can wear vests, you can grunt and they will get grumpy with you if you don’t put your weights back. Most importantly their staff smile and will talk to you like you a valued customer not just a source of income like some of the larger chains…. not mentioning any names.
They have their own personal trainers (some of whom write for this site), that can be hired to help you achieve whatever goals you have or can simply help you set those goals. Some of those trainers also work with the Soho Academy which runs training courses that will enable you to pass Gym Instructor and Personal Trainer exams so you can start working in the fitness industry yourself.
Each gym has a slightly different balance of equipment based on the needs of its individual members and the space available so if you live or work near to a number of the gyms, please visit each of them to see which one best fits your needs….. or gives you the eye candy that you need to motivate yourself into action.
